How'd you get you name Abi?

When i was younger i used to spell my name "Ab," because i thought it made sense, y'know like ah-bee.
Sometime around kindergarten or first grade some teacher told me to put an i at the end because she said abs were like muscles. So i started putting an i at the end.(:
